Returning products purchased on the site and canceling a transaction

Returning products and canceling a distance sales transaction will be done in accordance with the Consumer Protection Law, 1981-5771 (hereinafter: "the Law").

In accordance with the law, the buyer is not entitled to cancel a transaction for the purchase of a book and/or any other goods that can be reproduced or duplicated. Without deviating from the aforementioned, the company will allow the exchange of books purchased on the site, subject to compliance with the conditions detailed below.

Any product purchased on the website can be exchanged starting from the day the transaction is made and after 14 days from the date of receipt of the product by the user or receipt of the transaction details document (whichever is later) (hereinafter: the "exchange period"), by sending a message by email at info@everydaycarrybooks.com  with the following details: full name, social security number, product name, date of purchase and contact details ("exchange notice").


It is possible to cancel a transaction for the purchase of product(s) purchased on the website, with the exception of books and/or other goods that can be reproduced or duplicated and subject to the fact that the value of the product exceeds a total of NIS 50, starting from the day the transaction was made and after 14 days from the date of receipt of the product by the user or the transaction details document (hereinafter: the "cancellation period"), by sending a message to customer service by email at info@everydaycarrybooks.com  along with the following details: full name, social security number, product name, date of purchase and details for contact ("cancellation notice").


After the company's confirmation (by email) that the exchange notice or the cancellation notice has been received by it (hereinafter: the "confirmation of the notification"), it is the user's responsibility to return to the store the product(s) included in the exchange notice or the cancellation notice (hereinafter: the "returned products ") until the end of the exchange period and/or the cancellation period, as defined above. Before arriving at the store, it is recommended to inquire by e-mail that there has been no change in the operating hours. The returned products can also be sent by registered mail or with a courier to the store address, but it is clarified that the buyer will exclusively carry in all shipping costs arising from this, and that it is his responsibility to verify with the company's customer service that the shipment was received in a proper and complete manner by the company.


It should be emphasized that the confirmation of the notification does not constitute consent on the part of the company to cancel the transaction and/or exchange the products, and that as a condition for this, the user must present proof of purchase to the company's satisfaction (receipt, exchange note, etc.) and comply with the other conditions of these regulations.


You can return a product in new condition only, which has not been opened and has not been used in any way. It will not be allowed to return a book whose pages are folded and/or wrinkled and/or torn and/or dirty, etc. A product sold with original packaging (including a case) will not be replaced if the packaging is opened and/or damaged.


Against the returned products, the buyer will be able to receive a replacement product(s) or a credit voucher, equal to the amount actually paid for the returned products (for example: if the normal price of a product is 100 NIS, but the buyer paid a total of 80 NIS for it due to a discount and/or utilization benefit, etc., the amount of the replacement product(s) or the credit will be 80 NIS only). The  amount will not include shipping fees, to the extent that they have been paid.


Upon cancellation of a transaction, a refund will be given in accordance with the calculation rules stated in Sections 5.8-5.9 above (with mandatory changes), however, a cancellation fee of NIS 100 or 5% of the transaction price, whichever is lower, will be deducted from the amount of the refund for the returned products. The buyer will not be given a refund for shipping fees.


In the event of cancellation of a transaction due to a defect in the product or a discrepancy between the description of the product purchased and the product received by the customer, the company will give the user a full refund and will not charge any cancellation fees, subject to immediate notification by the purchaser of the defect and/or discrepancy upon receipt of the product. Without deviating from the aforementioned, the company reserves the right to carry out an inspection (as necessary) before confirming the cancellation of the transaction, and to condition the cancellation of the transaction on the presentation of various documents and certificates.


Products purchased in a sale and/or at a discount and/or while redeeming a benefit (such as a coupon code) may be subject to restrictions on the exchange and/or return of products, in accordance with the conditions that will appear on the website and in the company's publications, and the buyer will not have any claim and/or demand and/or or a lawsuit for that matter.
The company will be entitled to cancel a transaction (in whole or in part) in the event that the product(s) are out of stock of the company and/or the suppliers, or in the event of an error and/or malfunction and/or disruption in the price of the product and/or the description of the product, in the event of abuse and/or or misuse of the website or in case of violation of the law and/or provisions of these regulations.


Refunds will be made in the same manner in which the payment for the transaction was made, within 7 business days from the date of cancellation of the transaction and subject to compliance with the terms of these regulations.


A distance selling transaction made by a person with a disability, a senior citizen or a new immigrant can be canceled within 4 months from the date of the transaction, provided that the conclusion of the transaction included a conversation between the buyer and the company representative (including through electronic communication) and on presentation of a document indicating that the buyer is a person with disability, senior citizen or newcomer. In the aforementioned cancellation, the provisions of this sub-chapter will apply with the required changes.
